How to Crochet a Labubu Doll: My Free Amigurumi Pattern
This Doll Almost Broke Me.
Here’s the Free Pattern So It Won’t Break You.

Okay, let's be brutally honest for a second. I love crochet more than anything, but sometimes amigurumi makes me want to scream. Especially dolls. The tiny little arms and legs, the endless sewing, trying to get the face symmetrical... it's a special kind of torture we put ourselves through.
I almost threw this doll, my "Winter Blossom," across the room. Twice. The hair wasn't sitting right, one of the eyes looked... judgy. You know the look. But then, somewhere around 2 AM, after redoing the hair for the third time, she started to... well, *become* someone. And I fell completely in love with her stubborn little face.
So, I'm giving you the pattern for free. But I'm not just giving you the clean, happy version. I'm giving you the real talk. The little tips and warnings so you can make this gorgeous doll without wanting to launch your yarn basket into orbit.
She's worth it in the end. I promise.
The Gear: Don't Skimp on the Yarn
You’ll need the usual stuff. A 2.5 mm hook is what I used. I’m obsessed with my Clover Amour hooks because they glide through the yarn, but you use whatever you love. Just make sure your stitches are TIGHT. Please. Nobody wants to see that ugly white stuffing poking through, it’s the worst.
For yarn, I used sport weight cotton. Schachenmayr Catania is my go-to. You need:
- Skin Tone (for the obvious parts)
- Soft Pink (for her dress)
- White (socks!)
- Brown (for that frustrating-but-worth-it hair)
And yeah, you need 9mm safety eyes, black and pink embroidery floss for the face, stuffing, needles, scissors... all that jazz. You know the drill.

The Pattern (The Hard Part)
ABBREVIATIONS (US TERMS): ch (chain), sc (single crochet), inc (increase), dec (decrease), sl st (slip stitch), hdc (half double crochet), BLO/FLO (back/front loop only), MR (magic ring). You got this.
HEAD (Skin Tone) R1: 6 sc in MR (6) R2: inc in each st (12) R3: (sc 1, inc) * 6 (18) R4: (sc 2, inc) * 6 (24) R5: (sc 3, inc) * 6 (30) R6: (sc 4, inc) * 6 (36) R7: (sc 5, inc) * 6 (42) R8: (sc 6, inc) * 6 (48) R9-R17: sc around (48) - This is the boring part. Put on a podcast. Place eyes between R14/15, 8 sts apart. Pray they're even. R18: (sc 6, dec) * 6 (42) R19: (sc 5, dec) * 6 (36) R20: (sc 4, dec) * 6 (30) R21: (sc 3, dec) * 6 (24) - Start stuffing now, don't wait. R22: (sc 2, dec) * 6 (18) R23: (sc 1, dec) * 6 (12) Fasten off, leave a long tail. Shove more stuffing in there than you think you need. ARMS (make 2, Skin Tone) R1: 6 sc in MR (6) R2-R15: sc around (6) - Yes, 14 rounds of this. It's tedious. I know. Stuff lightly. Fasten off. LEGS & BODY (This is where it gets tricky) Make 2 legs. Start with White. R1: 6 sc in MR (6) R2: inc in each st (12) R3-R5: sc around (12) Change to Skin Tone. R6-R20: sc around (12) Finish the first leg. On the second leg, DON'T fasten off. Now, from the 2nd leg, ch 3, and join to the first leg. This is the crotch. Don't make it too loose. R21: sc 12 on leg 1, sc 3 in chains, sc 12 on leg 2, sc 3 on other side of chains (30) R22-R26: sc around (30) R27: (sc 3, dec) * 6 (24) R28-R30: sc around (24) Change to Soft Pink for the dress. R31: In BLO, sc around (24) R32: (sc 2, dec) * 6 (18) R33-R36: sc around (18) Stuff the body. Fasten off. DRESS SKIRT & HAIR CAP The instructions are in the last post. Kidding! Skirt (Soft Pink): Join to the FLO of R30. Work rounds of hdc, increasing in the first two rounds to get a nice flare. Go for about 8 rounds total. Hair Cap (Brown): Just make a circle that fits the head. Basically, follow the head pattern until R8 (48 sts), then do a few more rounds without increasing.
