Get ready for the holidays with this incredibly quick and cute Roly-Poly Santa! Unlike traditional dolls, this Santa features a unique "tumbler" egg-shape design without arms or legs, making him perfect for shelf sitting or nesting in your Christmas tree branches.

Looking closely at the finished piece, we use Bobble Stitches to create that luscious, bumpy white beard texture, and the hat is worked separately to get that perfect slouch. The nose is a tiny pop of beige peeking out from the beard.

Materials Needed

Yarn: Worsted Weight (Category 4) in Christmas Red, Snow White, and Peach/Beige.
Hook: 3.5mm (E-4).

The body is worked in continuous rounds from the bottom up.

R2: Inc in every st around. (12)

The Textured Beard (White)

Fasten off, leaving a long tail. Add a small white pompom to the tip of the hat (R1).

Assembly

Sew the Beard onto the upper third of the Red Body. The bobbles should face outward.
Sew the Nose centered immediately above the beard line.
Place the Hat on top of the body, pulling it down slightly so the white brim touches the top of the nose and the sides of the beard. Sew in place.
Use a wire brush to gently fluff the yarn on the hat brim or pompom if you want the "halo" effect seen in the photo.
